  • Can I use SlideSource without an internet connection?

    Working on SlideSource.com does require an internet connection, however, you can download and edit slides offline and then re-upload them to the site. Slidesource.com will automatically replace them in your slide collection as a new version and thereby maintain the integrity of the version history.

  • Where are my slides being stored?

    SlideSource.com is a cloud-based service. When you upload your slides they reside on our servers which are hosted on Azure, Microsoft's highly reliable cloud-based platform. 80 percent of Fortune 500 companies use Azure for cloud-based services.

  • Are my slides safe and secure?

    Yes, your slides are safe and secure on SlideSource.com.

     

    SlideSource.com is hosted on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform which is constantly updated to maintain the highest level of security. SlideSource.com is a geo-replicated site with comprehensive automated backup systems.

     

    SlideSource.com requires that all connections are made through SSL/TLS, the internet standard for connection security. Additional information regarding Microsoft Azure security can be found here.

  • Can I edit slides from within SlideSource?

    Slides in SlideSource.com can be opened and edited with PowerPoint. You must have Microsoft PowerPoint installed on your computer in order to open slides and edit them from SlideSource.com. Some browsers may not support the ability to open slides in PowerPoint.

  • What are the system requirements for using SlideSource?

    SlideSource.com can be accessed from any browser connected to the Internet. Please keep in mind that not all browsers support the ability to open a slide in PowerPoint and edit it. System requirements include:

    • Web Browser: Internet Explorer (9 or newer), Chrome, Firefox, Opera, or Safari
    • Microsoft Office: 2007, 2008 (Mac), 2010, 2011 (Mac), 2013, 2016, or 2019
  • How many slides can I upload to SlideSource at one time?

    You will find that the process of uploading, splitting files into individual slides and creating thumbnails of each slide is fast. While there is no technical limit to the number of slides that can be included in a single upload, we recommend uploading in smaller batches of 50 to 100 slides. This makes the process of organizing your slides more efficient. We have tested SlideSource.com with uploads in batches of more than 500 slides without any problems, but don’t consider this to be best practice.

  • How many slides can I store in my SlideSource.com library?

    This depends on the subscription plan you select and ranges from 50 slides, with our Free plan, up to as many as 10,000 slides with our Professional plan. A plan can be customized for you based on your specific needs. You can find detailed information on all our subscription plans here.

  • Does SlideSource work with Macs?

    Yes, SlideSource.com works on Macs. PowerPoint files in your library can be opened directly from PowerPoint on your Mac using Safari or Firefox.
